Vegan Things to Do in L.A. This Weekend: July 19-21
We search the web for the best vegan things to do in the city, so you don’t have to. Here’s what’s happening this weekend.
FRIDAY, JULY 19
Come for the tequila at Block Party, stay for the wide array of vegan Mexican food, and continue to stay for more tequila.
Plant-based comfort food, a live DJ, and a chance to tell your story, try out that slam poem, or test out some jokes conjoin at this local event in Leimert Park.
SATURDAY, JULY 20
Sample all of Donatsu’s light, airy, and melt-in-your-mouth vegan donuts! If you’ve been waiting to try them out, this is the perfect first experience!
Join AGWC Rockin’ Rescue for a fundraiser event where you can eat vegan food and hang out with adoptable cats and dogs.
Learn how to transform nuts, seeds, and other natural products into creamy and funky cheeses.
SoCal vendors join East Hollywood’s BESTIES—an all-vegan convenience store specializing in quick, easy, and affordable bites—for a midday excursion. Follow their Instagram page for updates on upcoming events!
The name kind of explains itself: dress up like it’s senior year (but with better fashion sense for everyone’s sake), partake in cheesy dances (only now you got some moves), and enjoy the open bar and vegan buffet. Okay, this is way better than a high school prom. Click here for discounted tickets.
HIGHLAND PARK (SATURDAY & SUNDAY)
Just a couple months after opening, Hinterhof is meshing German and American cuisines into one, cohesive eye-popping brunch menu. Some standout items include their Pretzel Bread French Toast and Schnitzel and Waffles, which is akin to a German take on chicken and waffles. If you’re ready for a lavish brunch you’ll never forget, Hinterhof is your weekend destination. And make sure to pick up a copy of VegOut LA Magazine while you’re there!
SUNDAY, JULY 21
Downey natives finally don’t have to leave town to get their hands (and mouths) on bomb vegan food! Bring an item to donate to Jefas Veganas and you’ll receive the summer issue of VegOut LA Magazine for free!
Wake up your body with rooftop yoga at ROW DTLA accompanied by some of the city’s best views, then head downstairs to tear up Smorgasburg’s array of indulgent eats!
Four years ago, we could’ve never imagined we’d get the chance to enjoy juicy burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. One year ago, we could’ve never imagined we’d be able to get those things every week. Today, we’re reclaiming our childhood favorites every weekend at Vegan Sunday.
Feast on nachos, tostadas, tacos, and cheesecake at the Brentwood Farmers Market from 9am-2pm!
