30 Awesome Vegan Things to Do in Los Angeles This February

There’s never a shortage of incredible vegan events, festivals, and pop-ups to attend in Los Angeles. Thankfully, February’s no different! Here’s this month’s itinerary:

1. Vegan Fashion Week

Saturday & Sunday, February 2 & 3

Boutiques, designers, and brands from across the world gather to celebrate the art of cruelty-free apparel for Vegan Fashion Week. Find one-of-a-kind pieces, enjoy free snacks, and take part in a vegan runway show on Saturday night, and enjoy a vegan lounge and panels on both days! Tickets can be purchased here.

 

2. Taste of Caribbean

Saturday, February 2

Experience the homemade flavors of Jamaica from 10am-1pm at this vegan pop-up!

 

3. Vegan District at the Pike Outlets – CANCELLED

Saturday, February 2

Head to Downtown Long Beach for a vegan food-court and artisan marketplace with views of LB’s iconic ferris wheel, rollercoaster, and the upscale Pike Outlets.

 

4. Plant Party People Presents Fall for Food – CANCELLED

Saturday, February 2

Madameshugah, Love Amaro Pizzeria, and Veggie Fam will be livening up this Saturday night party in Fullerton from 5-9pm.

 

5. Super Vegan Sunday at Smorgasburg LA – POSTPONED

Sunday, February 3

Eat Drink Vegan and Smorgasburg team up to present an event of epic proportions, combining Smorgasburg regulars with some of LA’s top vegan pop-ups for Super Vegan Sunday. Ditch the game, this is where the real party’s at.

 

6. Rooftop Yoga at Smorgasburg – POSTPONED

Sunday, February 3

Before you dive into total indulgence at Super Vegan Sunday, take an hour to stretch, breath in LA’s questionably smoggy air, and relax your mind. Feeling enlightened? Good, time to grab that box of donuts!

 

7. Plant Based Culinary Class in Whittier

Sunday, February 3

This class will feature an introduction to everyday plant-based cooking that teaches participants how to select proper produce, cook veggies, and spice up their meals like experienced chefs.

 

8. Evolution Burger Grand Opening @ 818 Brewing

Thursday, February 7

Starting February 7th, Evolution Burger will be popping up daily at 181 Brewing in Canoga Park. Their menu will include vegan sliders, brats, and a full wing menu (with all the sauces)!

 

9. OC Vegan Fest

Saturday, February 9

Orange County continues to build its very own vegan food scene with an impressive boost by this monthly plant-based fest.

 

10. Vegan Kickback at Old Stump Brewery Co

Saturday, February 9

Pomona will get a taste of vegan action normally reserved for the city. Pop into Old Stump Brewery between 1-10pm for craft brews, delectable plant-based bites, and a culinary showdown between participating vendors, including Avocadamama, Vegan Tamale Co., and Jade’s Vegan Sushi. Iron Chef America just met its vegan counterpart. May the best pop-up win!

 

11. Green Saturday Vegan Marketplace

Saturday, February 9

Head to Green Saturday for an all-around vegan market with plant-based noms, skincare, cosmetics, and even cat & dog adoptions! This spacious indoor venue will be a happening place from 12-5pm, to spark up some ideas for vegan Valentine’s Day gifts.

 

12. Veg Speed Date

Saturday, February 9

If you’re looking for a vegan match just in time for Valentine’s Day, head to The Stalking Horse for Veg Speed Date Los Angeles.

 

13. Cosmic Brewery Presents a Vegan Valentines

Sunday, February 10

From 12-6pm, Cosmic Brewery will host an event for that special Valentine’s Day spirit. We’re not entirely sure what they have in store yet, but if it’s anything like their Friday pop-ups, there’ll be a 100% chance of taste-bud satisfaction.

 

14. Vegan Brews and BBQ

Sunday, February 10

Join Southern Fried Vegan for some vegan soul food at Concrete Jungle Brewing in Ventura. They’ll be serving Fried Chickun, BBQ, Mac N Cheeze, Jambalaya, Beer-Cheeze Battered Beyond Burgers, Totchos, and more!

 

15. Vegan Valentine’s Happy Hour

Wednesday, February 13

Head to Modern Times DTLA for a Valentine’s Day themed happy hour, hosted by The Humane League Los Angeles.

 

16. San Gabriel Lunar New Year Festival

Saturday, February 16

Celebrate the Year of the Pig at the Historic Mission Playhouse with live music from Run River North. The event will be featuring amazing vegan offerings from Kai Kai Dumplings and Zumo ZuZhi Burrito, along with a traditional Chinese dragon dance.

 

17. Church of Seitan

Sunday, February 17

Meet up at the Verdugo Bar in Glassell Park for drinks, bingo, and vegan grub!

 

18. Chinese New Year Festival

Sunday, February 17

May the Lunar New Years celebrations continue with a craft beer garden, which will include beers from Modern Times & Maui Brewing, plus a variety of food trucks with vegan options, and a parade through Chinatown from 1-3pm!

 

19. Long Beach Vegan Chili Cook Off

Head out to 4th Street Vine to taste and vote on 10 different vegan chilis. There will also be a selection of vegan beers!

 

20. Friday Fiesta in Highland Park

Every Friday

Head to York Street in Highland Park for an impressive array of vegan street vendors, including Cena Vegan, Word of Mouth, Senoreata, and many more.

 

21. Vegan Pop-Ups at Cosmic Brewery

Every Friday

Enjoy local brews alongside mouth-watering vegan eats from a variety of local pop-ups down in Torrance.

 

22. Vegan Cooking Classes at Suncafe

Every Saturday

If you need some new vegan dishes to add to your weekly rotation, join Chef Ron Russell Saturday mornings at Suncafe to discover new pairings, flavors, and techniques.

 

23. Vegan Pop-Ups at BESTIES

Every Saturday

East Hollywood’s first all-vegan grocery store, BESTIES, is bringing attention to the area with their weekly pop-up party, featuring vendors and brands from all around SoCal.

 

24. Brunch at Cocobella Creamery

Every Saturday & Sunday

February is your last month to try out Cocobella’s #ALLVEGAN brunch, featuring stuffed French toast, breakfast burritos, and fluffy pancakes served with bacon, sausage, hash brown, tofu eggs!

 

25. Wild Chive Pop-Up at Marina Farmers Market

Every Sunday

This innovative, vegan comfort food pop-up continues to push culinary boundaries with items like wild mushroom Swedish meatball subs, breakfast patty melts, and strawberry cheesecake French toast. Catch them from 9am-2pm in Long Beach!

 

26. Vegan by El Zamorano

Every Sunday

Swing by Santa Ana’s very own weekly vegan pop-up serving handcrafted Mexican food by El Zamorano, along with other plant-based treats from rotating vendors.

 

27. The Little Green Kitchen Pop-Up

Every Sunday

From 9am-2pm, pop by the Little Green Kitchen at the Brentwood Farmers Market to try out their carne asada tacos, cashew cheesecake, or saucy jackfruit carnitas nachos!

 

28. Vegan Street Fair’s Vegan Sunday

Every Sunday through February 10

All of your favorite vegan eats are in one square block of NOHO for Vegan Sundays. Stop on by and grab a massive Impossible Burger from Lettuce Feast, fried mushroom bao from ManEatingPlant, or saucy coconut shrimp from Srey Vegan on your next lazy Sunday afternoon.

 

29. Kannabis Works Vegan Fair

Every Sunday

End your weekend with family, sun, and some of SoCal’s best vegan food from vendors like Jade’s Vegan Sushi, Chicana Vegana, Chompton, and more at this vegan fair.

 

30. Smorgasburg LA

Every Sunday

Donut ice cream sandwiches by Donut Friend, breakfast burritos from Cena Vegan, and chicken & waffle mac ’n cheese cups by Avocado Mama. Need we say more? Smorgasburg is a must-do for any vegan foodie.
