Everyone deserves to treat themselves sometimes, so when you’re craving dessert, check out one of these 10 spots for some of the best vegan sweets in the LA area. 1. Cinnaholic

Did you know there’s a completely-vegan cinnamon roll shop with three locations in the LA area? Yep, that’s Cinnaholic, and when you stop by, you won’t just be able to get yourself a gourmet vegan cinnamon roll, but choose from a range of signature frosting flavors and toppings to make a custom vegan cinnamon roll creation. Frosting flavors range from chocolate, to classic cream cheese, and more, and toppings include fruits, cookies, sprinkles, etc. They sell brownies, cookies, cakes, and drinks too, all of which are also 100% vegan.

2. Cocobella Creamery


For vegan ice cream galore, head to Cocobella Creamery, where all their ice cream isn’t just vegan, but gluten-free as well — plus there are several soy-free and nut-free options. They’ve got their take on textbook flavors, like chocolate and strawberry, while also scooping unique ones, like Sunbutter Cup and Cookie Monsta (cookie butter ice cream with chocolate chip cookie crumbles). Have you ever dreamed of being able to go to a bakery and being able to pick out whatever you want? Well you’re in luck because Erin McKenna’s is an all-vegan bakery that makes all the cupcakes, donuts, cookies, crumb cakes, loaves, muffins, cinnamon rolls, mounds, brownies, and specialty cakes you’re heart desires. And they even vanilla and chocolate soft serves too. Plus, everything there isn’t just vegan, but also gluten-free, soy-free, refined sugar-free, non-GMO, and kosher.

If you’re looking for vegan ice cream in Orange County, check out Hug Life. With typical flavors like cookies ‘n cream, rocky road, and vanilla bean, plus special ones like their Cookie Butterface, Thai Tea, and Honeydew, this vegan ice cream shop has a flavor you’re sure to love. Plus, they offer their Brownie a La Mode (brownie topped with two mini scoops of ice cream, toppings, and drizzle of choice), Ice Cream Sammich (ice cream of choice between two chocolate chip cookies), along with specialty drinks, like milkshakes, floats, and more.

Choose from sweet treats, like cake pops, bundt cakes, brownies, custom cakes, and cookies, or try one of their savory delights, like savory pies and pizza rolls. A lot of their items are also available to ship to your home, so you can even get a taste of their creations without having to step out of your door.

7. The Bakery Truck

This bakery on wheels bakes up lots of vegan cookie-related treats. For instance, there’s simple pleasures like chocolate chip cookies or peanut butter oat cookies, or you can live it up a little with their neopolitan cookie sandwiches (strawberry jam frosting between a vanilla sugar cookie and a chocolate chocolate chip cookie). And don’t miss their dough bites — bite-sized cookie dough pieces drizzled in chocolate ganache. All treats are also gluten-free, organic, ​and free of nuts, unless noted. Ever thought you’d never be able to have vegan pan dulce? Well guess what, Vegan By Victoria’s answered that worry. They’re dishing out vegan pan dulce in abundance — conchas (basically the Mexican version of donuts), bolillos (savory bread stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños), cookies, flan, a variety of tres leches cake flavors, and a whole lot more. Yes, it’s all vegan — and made fresh daily!

9. Yoga-urt


For some of the best and healthiest vegan froyo, head to Yoga-urt. They make theirs simply, with a fresh almond milk and cashew base, probiotics, salt, cane sugar (some flavors have no added sugar), and respective flavorings. Options include traditionals, like vanilla and chocolate, along with lots of special ones, like Orange Dreamsicle and Radiant Golden Rose, plus seasonal flavors as well. And they serve other treats as well, like ice cream sandwiches and banana splits. It’s all not only vegan, but soy-free, and for the most part, gluten-free.

10. Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen

No Storefront

Yvonne’s can meet so many of your dessert needs. While this vegan and gluten-free kitchen may not have a storefront, you can find their products all over Southern California at over 50 locations, as well as in their online store. Pick up cookies, cheesecakes, donuts, and even vegan cheese and superfood crackers at your nearest spot, or order all those and more (care packages, platters, custom cakes, pies, etc.) online. Catering is available also; your guests can enjoy sweet treats that are both delicious and beautifully-displayed.
